What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Worker position at Concrete Strategies?
Key Responsibilities:
- Load / Unload pickup trucks, 3 tons, and flatbed trucks by hand or with a forklift
- Fill orders from inventory for jobsite tool and material requests
- Use of power tools for misc. activities
- Check out and put away forms, form accessories, and equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Track / Receive deliveries from suppliers and stock inventory
- Experience using yard equipment is a plus
Expectations:
- Work 40 hour per week
- Be on time for your shift (7:00am)
- Ability to Think on your Feet
- Organized and Dependable
- Communicate respectfully with co-workers and staff
- Hold class A or B CDL (Not Required)
- Forklift/Lull Certified (Not Required)
- Exhibits a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of Concrete Strategies safety guidelines and procedures
- Provides leadership and influences training and development of subordinates to improve their capabilities for advancement
- Always wear Proper Protective Equipment
Requirements Qualifications:
- Ability to regularly lift 0-50 lbs., occasionally lifting and/or moving items that weigh more than 50 lbs. with assistance from other yard workers
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule / safety program / quality programs
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Proof of Identity and Employment Authorizations
