Companies create tons of data each second, for example, when taking an Uber ride or when a customer orders something on a website this creates lots of different events and thus data. These streams of data end up in a technology that has become integral to businesses around the world. This technology is called Apache Kafka, a technology that is challenging to learn and work with but provides incredible value provided to the organization. Kafka is now used by 80% of the Fortune 100 companies, with a large fast-growing community. Companies such as LinkedIn, Uber, Netflix, Airbnb, and Apple rely on Apache Kafka to power their business and growth.
Conduktor is creating a set of tools to help companies gain visibility, control, and collaboration over their real-time data. Conduktor intends to tackle the whole data streaming journey of a company. At every stage of working with Kafka, companies will gain speed, confidence, and knowledge.
About the role
As a Sales Development Representative, you will fuel Conduktor’s growth through both inbound and outbound opportunity generation. You will partner closely with our Sales Team to create and execute on a territory plan and you will have the opportunity to work with our Marketing Team to improve our campaigns and messaging.

You will be a key contributor to Conduktor’s business objectives and have the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders in the company, build valuable skills to help grow your career on multiple paths.
Responsibilities
- Opportunity generation through outbound and inbound
- Engage efficiently in written and verbal communication with prospects
- Build knowledge of our technology and ecosystem of partners
- Follow up on a high volume of leads effectively and efficiently
- Understand a prospect's needs
- Effectively communicate the benefits of Conduktor
- Use research and data to prioritize outreach
- Consistently meet new business opportunities and pipeline target
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- 1 year of business focused experience in a target driven sales role (trained using a formal sales methodology would be a HUGE plus)
- Experience in B2B cold calling and lead generation
- Attitude and positivity are absolutely key here, if you have a professional manner along with a good sense of humour, you’ll do great!
