We are looking for an Industrial Services and Fabrication company that provides engineering, design, manufacturing, and repair services of custom shell and tube heat transfer equipment.
As a Boilermaker/Fabrication Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of boilermakers, fabricators, and shop helpers assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing boilers, closed vats, and other large vessels/tanks in the swing/night shift.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the work of boilermakers, fabricators, and shop helpers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to quality standards.
Provide employee feedback and/or consequences for safe/unsafe behavior to maintain a culture of safety.
Read and interpret blueprints, understand job specifications, and implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
Administer and enforce work and safety rules in a fair and consistent manner for the crafts under your direction.
Provide timely and concise guidance to foremen to preclude crew work stoppage.
Understand work priorities and schedules, and assign work plans accordingly.
Identify problems and develop action plans to resolve them with minimal work disruption.
Be responsible for the quality of work performed by the boilermakers under your supervision.
Ensure accurate reports are submitted regarding time sheets, back charges, quantity, and work status.
Ensure foremen and crews understand assignments and directions prior to commencement of work.
Conduct pre-planning work by providing meaningful input at weekly scheduling meetings.
Monitor work progress and report impending schedule problems to supervision.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role as a boilermaker or in a similar role within the refinery industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
Hands-on experience with reading blueprints and using metalworking machinery.
Knowledge of safety regulations and experience participating in safety meetings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide training to team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
