Role Summary: The Client Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of business development proposals, materials, and strategies while driving new business and increasing brand awareness.
At all times, the Client Engagement Manager must be an honorable steward of the JConnelly brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactions.
Responsibilities:
· Supports Senior Director of Client Engagement with Company and assigned business development initiatives
· Works with internal marketing and digital teams to develop branding, marketing, and communication materials in support of new business development and recruitment
·Implements tactical plans and monthly, quarterly and annual reports to be shared with the Executive team that align with performance targets
·Identifies and implements improvements to business development materials (proposal templates, pitch decks, leave behinds, etc.)
· Updates, uploads and sends Company content marketing to HubSpot
·Responsible for updating JConnelly blogs via HubSpot. Monitors blog contact form for inquiries related to new business.
· Responsible for developing new leads as well as leads already in our pipeline.
·Acts as project manager to keep projects moving forward on time and within budget
·Responsible for managing entire business development process from initial touch point with prospects through pitch proposal and agreement phases including transitioning to client service team
·Responsible for drafting agreements for client engagements
·Responsible for crafting proposals, RFPs, including video, crisis and additional SOWs from existing clients for JConnelly and AdvisorPR
·Maintains clean and accurate data on HubSpot, including contact database
·Ensures timely deliverables of all proposals, agreements and reports
·Maintains JConnelly branded material library on shared drive, including team bios, team sheets, etc.
·Performs other duties as assigned
Education: College degree or equivalent related business experience
Experience and Expertise:
·Minimum 5 years successful related experience with an emphasis on business development, proposal writing, and the ability to source qualified leads.
· Experienced in using HubSpot
·Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and deductive reasoning skills
·Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, handle details accurately, follow up with minimum supervision, and complete tasks within specified deadlines
· Working knowledge of basic analytical programs and statistics
·Excellent interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills
·Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Outstanding writing skills that clearly demonstrate the ability convey a message in the appropriate voice and tone to an audience in an engaging, organized manner
·Proficiency with various software applications including the full Office suite, as well as social media channels
·Knowledge of PR and Marketing related software (Cision, Meltwater, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.) is preferred but not required
