SUMMARY
Supervise activities and personnel associated with the blending of Product Formulations ensuring compliance to safety, quality, productivity, procedural and regulatory requirements. Interacts with QA Lab to coordinate testing and timely release of product.
SHIFT

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine daily requirements and assign employees as required to complete the manufacturing Work Order schedule while maintaining efficient operations, employee safety and product quality objectives.
- Monitor compliance to product quality and GMP requirements, proactively lead resolution of product quality or documentation non-compliance, and establish appropriate corrective action plans.
- Create Work Orders and Pick Lists from QAD, and Batch Records from QCBD as required to produce Product Formulations.
- Close out completed Work Orders in QAD including reporting of labor hours.
- Monitor expiration dates of Raw Materials and Product Formulations to avoid expired conditions.
- Maintain manual inventory records with the objective of accurate and current inventory records. Investigate and resolve discrepant inventory conditions.
- Coordinate with QA Lab the timely completion of analytical testing requirements consistent with the production filling schedule.
- Interact with Purchasing regarding expediting Raw Material supply constraints impacting the Manufacturing schedule.
- Ensure all personnel understand and follow defined operational procedures and company policies. Coordinate training initiatives as required and address non-compliant situations.
- Support and assist with safety initiatives resulting in a safe work environment and employee awareness of and compliance to safe work practices.
- Maintain Operator skills assessments and coordinate training initiatives to ensure the manufacturing team is adequately cross trained and competent to facilitate flexible manufacturing requirements.
- Review and submit revisions to Batch Records ensuring operational documents accurately reflect the process.
- Routine interaction with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA, and Shipping/Receiving regarding the resolution of component quality or availability issues, and availability of finished goods.
- Administer all company rules, policies, performance expectations and regulatory requirements, including appropriate disciplinary actions dictated by non-compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This Manufacturing Supervisor position reports to the VP of Operations.

Knowledge/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with at least five years work experience in a production environment. Ability to read and speak English, and ability to perform simple math functions including calculating percentages. Basic functional knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:
- Measure and mix raw materials according to specific formulas and instructions
- Operate machinery and equipment to compound materials
- Package finished products for shipment or storage
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform quality control checks to ensure product consistency and adherence to specifications
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and production output
Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with machining equipment and tools is a plus
- Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
