A local convenience store and gas station is looking for a result orientated manager with excellent interpersonal skills to act as the key link between the owners and the store location. You will help the store stay up to date with company policies and you will ensure focus on increasing sales and building productive relations. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations will carry out company policies and guidelines. As the manager you will oversee hiring and training of employees. This position will also require bold decision making and leadership skills. Job Expectations:
· Complete daily work, including fuel survey, daily control counts for cigarettes and lottery.
· Prepare in balance daily reports makeshifts and maintain the balance in inventory records on computerized point of sale system provide master spreadsheets and all daily paperwork.
· Send all required reports for the necessary deadlines to the main office.
· Provide work direction, motivation and coaching to staff during shifts to ensure assigned tasks are completed in accordance with store guidelines and expectations.
· Maintain courteous, professional contact with workers, customers, vendors and community at large.
· Reliable and predictable attendance.
· Perform all duties of customer service representative as needed.
· Oversee merchandising displays and signage, ensure all prices on shelves have a price label and match scanned prices.
· Ensure that all products are being properly checked coming in purchases an out credits and store.
· Ensure the store is clean and maintained to company standards this includes both the inside and outside of the store.
· Provide work direction to staff during shifts to ensure station operations are covered including, but not limited to customer service, stocking, cleaning, and food service.
· Participate in loss prevention control including shrink and spoilage.
· Responsible for shrink expenses, payroll expenses, as well as maintaining financial profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and sales targets.
· Review convenience store trends, recommendations, an initiate change for maximizing goals and objectives.
· Comparison shop and report results as directed.
· Monitor sales and inventory to forecast sales and maintain adequate stock levels.
· Use various computer programs to support daily operations of the store. Complete daily/weekly administrative tasks regarding retail and gas sales, compliance, daily paperwork, deliveries, invoice processing, etc.
Manage the Team:
· Lead safety program for employees and customers to ensure a safe workplace.
· Ensure all employees are in uniform including name tag.
· Ensure compliance with all company policies local and state federal laws and regulations
· Maintain store staff by recruiting selecting orientating and training employees
· Maintain store staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. This also includes planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Prepare work schedules, establish and implement work procedures and priorities, achieve financial objectives by monitoring labor hours scheduling, expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
· Maintain operations by coordinating and enforcing stores operational and personal policies and procedures.
Here are the qualifications we're looking for:
· At least 1-year retail customer service experience is required.
· 2 years as a supervisor or manager of a retail store - gas station is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience operating a cash register computer console and other related equipment tools and computer software programs and applications
· knowledge and application of proper sanitization and safety requirements associated with food storage and serving
· availability to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
· This job requires at least 40 hours per week.
· Superior customer service skills and demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations professionally, exercising good judgement.

Physical demands:

· Periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions.
