Job Summary:
The Director of eCommerce Development is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the organization’s eCommerce platform. This role involves managing both the front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics, and leading a team of developers to deliver robust and scalable eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Shopify, deep understanding of eCommerce technologies, and strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- eCommerce Development:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of the eCommerce platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Lead the development of both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring seamless functionality and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and enhancements.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of the development team.
- Project Management:
- Manage eCommerce development projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Utilize project management methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
- Integration and Systems Management:
- Ensure seamless integration of Shopify with Microsoft Dynamics and other relevant systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the eCommerce platform and related systems.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of the eCommerce platform.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding eCommerce development matters.
- Communicate development progress, challenges, and strategies to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in eCommerce development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Willing to support execution as needed to deliver goals.
- Extensive experience with Shopify, including both front-end and back-end development.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics and its integration with eCommerce platforms.
- Proven experience in project management and leading development teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of eCommerce technologies and trends.

Pay: $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
