Executive Director
Senior living company is seeking an Executive Director for our assisted living community in the Salem/Eugene, OR area. The person we are looking for will have experience in management and senior living, be passionate about helping seniors and team members live the best life possible and be willing to take on a rewarding and challenging opportunity.
Position Summary:
- Ensure the smooth operation of each department, managing all daily operations within the parameters of established policies and procedures, including State and Federal.
- Assist and guide Department Directors in managing a team of employees who will serve the seniors in our community with care, compassion, and happiness while promoting communication and teamwork between all departments..
- Market the community to the local area by developing professional contacts in the area, meeting with prospective residents and families, and developing positive relationships with all.
- Achieve and maintain a high level of resident, family, and team member satisfaction, operational efficiency, and quality of care and services.
- Ensures the delivery of quality care and services and promotes positive resident and family relations, responding promptly and appropriately to resident needs, requests and concerns. Encourages resident interaction and promotes a culture where each resident is of the greatest importance
- Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations and all company rules and regulations regarding the care of the residents and operation of the community. Develops a positive rapport with all state regulatory representatives
- Directs and monitors timely and accurate completion of all daily/weekly/monthly billings, accounting and bookkeeping requirements
- Assists as needed in the coordination of move-in with respective residents. Periodically reviews each resident’s status and ability to perform under the terms and conditions of the Residency Agreement
- Actively manages and leads the community team, including recruiting and retention of key contributors, performance management, employee development, coaching, and feedback
- Routinely monitors the sanitation of the kitchen, quality of meals, quantity, and appearance of service and entire staff, cleanliness of resident apartment and satisfaction of residents
- Manage and control financials, meeting or exceeding revenue, Net Operating Income, and capital budget guidelines.
Excellent compensation includes a base salary, bonus potential, and a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, paid time off and paid holidays.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed assisted living administrator in the state of Oregon.
- Two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a retirement or assisted living community.
- Knowledgeable of Assisted Living operational standards and requirements of participation.
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience in the senior living, health care or hospitality industries.
- Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision and discipline.
- Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses.
- Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
- Must be inspired to serve the needs of our residents and team members.
