POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Inside Sales Associates will be responsible for assisting with local Territory Managers’ sales support needs and servicing walk-in and call-in customers at the Branch. They will be the subject matter experts for our product lines and assist with new product setups. Their role will be essential in ensuring that our customers’ needs are being addressed in a timely manner and helping the Branch maximize sales opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Handle customer sales via phone, email, text, etc.
· Support Territory Manager’s work with quote and sales entry, source product for sales, serve as a liaison for information flow between the branch and the TM’s.
· Answer incoming calls and route or service appropriately
· Conduct outgoing sales call to existing customers weekly based on our delivery schedule.
· Service walk-in customers’ needs
· Support inventory needs by communicating to the Branch Manager and Replenishment team specific needs and new demands for product.
· Serve as a point of contact for expertise regarding our product line
· Capture and Communicate customer specific needs, such as product delivery requirements, preferences, etc.
· Monitor Customer trends and work with the TM and BM on opportunities or variances that impact our business
· Initiate and support new customer setups
· Support the Corporate Credit team as needed with customer specific inquiries
· Partner with Item Maintenance for new product setup.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job largely operates in a business casual office environment but will need to frequently enter the warehouse. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Available to work Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Word, and Excel
· Excellent typing and data-entry skills
· Familiarity with ERP Systems – we currently use Prophet 21 (P21)
· Excellent phone-based selling skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and act as a team player
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task while delivering quality work
· Ability to analyze and leverage data to drive sales
· Willingness to support multiple roles as-needed outside of normal work duties.
