Job description
We are looking for a Leasing Agent to present and lease apartments to prospective tenants. The goal is to assist potential customers, turn them into actual ones and achieve high occupancy rates through providing excellent service, sharing knowledge of the community and market, and representing the management company in a positive and pleasant manner.
Responsibilities
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
- Advertise available properties using a variety of media and promoting materials
- Determine the needs, living standards and economic viability of prospect customers
- Confirm rental application data and personal references utilizing property software and criteria in place
- Stay knowledgeable of the property market status and complete monthly market survey reports
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions to close deals
- Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically
- Interact with residents and communicate with office and maintenance staff to fulfill resident requests
Skills
- Proven working experience as leasing agent with strong closing skills
- Strong working knowledge of leasing practices and fair housing
- MS Office proficiency--especially in Excel and Word
- Yardi software experience preferred
- Excellent social media skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Persuasive with marketing and sales skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay on task
- Ability to highly function in a fast-paced office with various distractions
- Customer service orientated
- Attentive to detail, organized and solution focused
