What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Confidential?
We are a small private medical practice with various locations specializing in podiatry for children and adults. Our office is in need of a team player for our front desk. Must have excellent computer skills, be professional, friendly and able to handle pressure in a heavy volume practice.
Responsibilities
- At least 3 years experience in a busy medical office
- Heavy phone volume
- Patient registration and check-out
- Collecting co-pays, outstanding balances, knowledge of deductible and co-insurance
- Maintain, manage and order various medical and office inventory
- Patient Management Software/Electronic Medical Records experience is a plus
- Candidate will need excellent communication skills in the English language, bilingual a plus but not necessary
Qualifications
- Team player a must
- Strong attention to detail and tracking
- Working knowledge of Google Docs
- Must have experience in insurance eligibility verification
- Strong data entry skills and billing experience
- Experience with obtaining insurance authorizations
Various locations and hours available, Saturdays a plus.
Brooklyn residents strongly preferred.
