What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer/Utility Person position at Confidential?
We are a manufacturer in Wheeling, IL looking for a Packer/Utility Person to be responsible for moving materials, supplies and finished product, preparing and packing items for shipment, and checking items against work orders and bills of lading. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Please note position is temp to hire to ensure a good fit. If work performance is up to expectations, you will be hired within 90 days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Moves raw materials, supplies and finished product as needed.
- Operates mechanical bottle washer.
- Packs a wide variety of items into cartons, boxes, and similar containers for shipment, correctly and in a timely manner.
- Follows detailed instructions as to size and type of containers, use of packing details and packing procedures. May carry or truck items into shipping area.
- Accurately checks labels for identification.
- Adheres to ISO 9000 procedures.
- Performs routine hazardous waste management activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
