Nashville based low-voltage system integrator seeks a Test and Inspection Sales Representative. Responsibilities will include representing the Company for the sale of our Fire Alarm System inspection, maintenance, and monitoring services to commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and municipal facilities.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to review and understand low voltage systems as well as prepare service and/ or inspection proposals and service agreements. Applicant must be able to travel and meet face-to-face with corporate customers in Middle Tennessee. The position will be based in our Nashville offices, but you will spend a considerable amount of your time in the field.
Experience with fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems will make you stand out but is not required.
This position requires someone with a relentless passion and skill for prospecting.
Requirements:
Experience selling to commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, or municipal facilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to complete service agreements forms and create proposals.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Build relationships prospects and new customers using warm leads and cold calling.
Spend a significant amount of the work week canvasing potential facilities and customers in the field.
Conduct site surveys of customer locations and review with your manager to develop appropriate pricing and presentation plans.
Develop and maintain an active proposal pipeline to support current department needs and future growth opportunities.
Must be able to work independently and within a team to meet sales objectives.
Submit sales reports and related paperwork in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Two to five years' working in a direct business to business sales environment.
Fire Alarm experience preferred.
Ability to establish and maintain viable local and distance relationships with end users.
Strong prospecting drive.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently or within a team.
Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background, and reference check.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Willingness to learn & utilize computers to include operating systems such as Windows Office – Excel and Word programs.
