WAREHOUSE MANAGER
This role oversees all inbounding, storage, order fulfilment, and delivery for a mid-size, family-owned distribution company. A high level of accuracy in day-to-day operations is critical in this position. This position reports to the President.
DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES:
· Manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
· Recruit, hire, train, and coach all warehouse/delivery personnel
· Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
· Configure layout and ensure efficient space utilization
· Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
· Oversee property and building maintenance
· Responsible for monthly physical inventory counts
· Oversee personnel scheduling and any other task assignment as necessary
· Oversee fleet of vehicles and ensure maintenance schedule is maintained
· Coordinate/oversee delivery routes, ensuring their efficiency and cost effectiveness
· Produce reports as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
· Candidate must be honest, hard-working, and ethical
· Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
· Strong decision making and problem solving skills
· Understanding of customer service principles
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong computer skills are imperative, specifically Outlook and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Regularly required to lift 10-50 pounds
· Regularly required to spend extended time on feet
· Managed at least 10 employees in a prior role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
