Job Description
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for directing, receiving, warehousing and outbound distribution operations to customers. This position will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and distribution of a wide variety of products. The goal is to ensure 100% fill rates and on time delivery to customers, labor productivity, direct the inventory cycle count program, safety and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
2. Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
3. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
4. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
5. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
6. Manage stock control and reconcile with inventory control system
7. Communicate with customers, suppliers, employees and transportation companies
8. Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
9. Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
Performs quarterly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports.
Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations including TAPA, AIB, OSHA, and etc…
12. Produce various warehouse and shipping reports and statistics including (inbound and outbound reports, slow moving report, dead stock report, on time and fill rates by customer, inventory accuracy, etc.,)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
1. Proven warehouse and shipping management experience
2. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
3. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
4. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
5. Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
6. Leadership skills and ability manage staff
QUALIFICATIONS
1. BS or Associates degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred but not required.
2. At least five (5) years of warehousing & shipping supervisory experience in a manufacturing /Distribution company.
3. At least ten (10) or more years of overall warehousing and shipping experience.
SKILLS
1. Must have ERP and WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
2. Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills including Microsoft Office software.
3. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, customers and employees.
4. Effective communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management.
5. Professional demeanor and positive attitude along with a great work ethic with the ability to multi-task. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment in a multi-person department.
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
7. Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Salary Range based on experience: $80,000-$120,000
