Warehouse Manager
Overview:
We are a company who offers sales and installation of building products. We are seeking an organized and detail- oriented Warehouse Manager to join our team to manage efficient, safe, accurate receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of our warehouse goods. In addition to overseeing the operations of the warehouse, you will be also responsible for managing the warehouse staff.
Major Responsibilities:
Receive materials into the warehouse daily and enter all receiving into inventory management system. Direct warehouse staff during installer load out every morning. Track shipments and maintain accurate log of materials due into the facility. Direct warehouse staff as necessary to maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse. Order stock materials and maintain proper levels by understanding seasonal demand.
Requirements:
- Ensure that our warehouse complies with company SOP
- Ability to learn the company’s scheduling/accounting/inventory software.
- Experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Resourcefulness in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Conduct physical counts of products and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Desire to seek out the most efficient and effective way to solve problems and complete tasks.
- Ability to think quickly, make decisions, and direct personnel as needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling and handling various materials.
- The warehouse manager may work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments, in uncomfortable and cramped positions, or on ladders.
- Interaction with staff and customers.
