Summary
Responsible for the development, implementation, and on-going evaluation of the effectiveness of clinical content used to educate and train across CH workforce with a focus on Medical Assistant role. Provides non-clinical service-oriented and leadership training for all staff. Works collaboratively with a team to provide orientation, on-going training and implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives for the CH workforce. Delivers education through instructor led classes, simulation lab experiences, utilization of clinical LMS and development of on-line content. Blends different learning platforms to meet needs. Works under the supervision of Clinical Development Manager and SVP of quality.
Reports to Clinical Development Manager.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge and ability to perform and train others in competency verification
- Employs strategy and techniques to promote a positive learning environment that meets the learner’s educational needs
- Provides training for all newly hired clinical staff (RN, CMA, ancillary) that is in scope of practice
- Provides coaching and training for MA staff across CH as required
- Ability to gain knowledge and competency on MA scope of practice and licensure requirements, skills and patient care equipment utilized in those skills
- Ensures educational programs are congruent with CH goals, initiatives and regulatory requirements
- Ability to learn principles from theories of adult learning, organizational development, system change and quality improvement
- Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain flexibility while managing multiple roles and responsibilities and scheduled and unscheduled educational activities
- Works collaboratively with site specific educators, instructors, outside department and department staff and leadership
- Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization

Position Requirements

Qualifications
Required:
- Current MA-C
- AAMA Certification
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider
- 2 – 3 years of recent experience in the outpatient clinical setting
- Working knowledge of patient care processes in outpatient setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) with ability to relate and interact effectively with all members of the healthcare team across the organization
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in a stressful environment
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Desire to learn effective presentation skills for various audiences
- Performs work against deadlines
- Desire to learn to use common software applications (including but not limited to MS Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Ability to be a self-starter
- Able to maintain productivity while working remotely
