The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst (VIP) to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems and strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. To succeed in this Data Analyst (VIP) position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. You will pull data and provide projections for the Sales Leads, work directly with major retailers to share insights, handle retailer forms for item set-up, and provide initial sales forecasting reports to ensure inventory levels are correct and consistent. You will also support the Sales Leads on annual planning. If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills, and are an expert in VIP (Vermont Information Processing) and Excel, we’d like to hear from you.
Candidates must have experience working within Kroger, Albertsons, and/or Publix Retail Portals
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize raw data, building data systems and pipelines.
- Review & identify discrepancies on a weekly/ bi-weekly basis to ensure data recorded accurately.
- Study past sales data to determine industry and productivity trends
- Continually evaluate business needs and objectives
- Design, implement, and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and day-to-day operations.
- Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to identify patterns and trends and to inform business decisions.
- Develop algorithms and models to discover insights and detect anomalies in complex datasets.
- Work with cross-functional teams of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to identify new product opportunities.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization tools.
- Develop and maintain data reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Engage with outside vendors to leverage additional third-party data sources.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a data analytics role within the CPG industry (Beverage preferred)
- Candidates must possess the ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and mining
- Experience with sales forecasting and reporting on inventory levels
- Experience supporting Sales teams by compiling and analyzing sales and market data
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation and training ability
- Must be proficient in VIP (Vermont Information Processing), Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (add systems that are needed)
