Connected Health Care is working with an established healthcare system in Coos Bay, Oregon, to help fill a Sonographer opportunity for their team. This full-time Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer role comes with a generous salary of $10,000 plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
As an Ultrasound Tech, you will produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs and or vasculature using ultrasound equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and studying malfunctioning organs. Our client, one of the leading academic medical systems, is eager to share what we learn with hospitals worldwide.
Some of your primary responsibilities as a Sonographer include:
Preparing equipment and patients for procedures and conducting procedures with proper sterile technique
Providing quality care to patients having US scans and invasive procedures
Explaining procedures to patients/families to reduce their anxiety and to obtain patient cooperation
Discussing test results with a supervisor or attending physician
Completing all aspects of patient care documentation as required in imaging services
To apply for this Ultrasound Tech position, you will need to be a graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound and, at a minimum, be registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or be registry eligible. You will also require a current hold or be eligible for the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) certificate (temporary works). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association) is also required.
