What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Work Leader position at Connecticut College?
Connecticut College, seeks a highly skilled work leader to provide direction, support and coordination of custodial work activities and maintain a clean and attractive environment on the Connecticut College campus. Perform custodial maintenance duties including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms, and assist with ice, snow and other debris removal activities. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefit package.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to: ensure work order assignments and routine cleaning tasks are completed according to established standards; provide direction and training to staff; ensure all work processes comply with OSHA requirements/regulations and college policies and procedures; perform QA inspections to ensure cleaning activities meet established standards; coordinate employee work schedules; execute maintenance and repair of custodial equipment; must have experience in stripping floors and carpet care and be proficient in the operation of all custodial equipment; other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma and 1-3 years of progressively responsible custodial experience required. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact well with a variety of people from all aspects of the college and community; have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and possess a valid Driver’s License.
Credentialing:
Thorough applicant credentialing, including criminal records check and pre-placement physical will be conducted on the selected applicant.
Connecticut College requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This includes the booster vaccine. Salary : $33,400 - $42,300
