Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity for a Help Desk Specialist II in the New York, NY area. This is an immediate opportunity. The opportunity is a full time direct hire with excellent benefits. Hybrid Model!
The Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and support to our organization's end-users, computer systems, hardware and software throughout our various locations.
This individual will be responsible for answering queries and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner while working with members of the IT staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide level II point of contact support for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or through the IT Ticketing system.
- Perform troubleshooting remotely through diagnostic techniques and providing support on-site.
- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Follow-up and update help-desk status and information.
- Provide remote technical assistance and support, conduct computer diagnostics, and resolve problems within the help-desk ticketing system.
- Maintain records of daily ticketing communications, problem and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
- User account administration for network, application, and systems access for employees.
- Configuration of workstation equipment and ensure proper installation of operating systems and appropriate software.
- Provide evening and weekend work when on call.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of IT support experience is required.
- Experience with printers, workstations, and peripherals.
- Account provisioning using Microsoft Active Directory.
- Office 365 experience. o Understanding of virtual environments.
- Some Network understanding.
- Windows 7, 8, 10.
