Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Help Desk Technician. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an outstanding non-profit company in Denver, Colorado.
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for agency computer maintenance, which may include workstations, laptops, printers, smart phones, interactive white boards, A/V equipment and network infrastructure hardware. Additional responsibilities will include agency hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, trouble shooting and I.T. inventory. Position assists in creating, supporting and maintaining user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Position requires interface with all levels of the organization in a flexible and mission focused direction.
Schedule is full time, 40 hours a week, M-F.
Position is primarily onsite with one day a week remote
Hourly pay rate- $25-$26.44/hr.

Workstation maintenance:
- Set-up and installation (assist supervisor with servers)
- Upgrades and maintenance
- User support and troubleshooting
- Training on use of equipment
- Inventory tracking, organization and maintenance
- Coordination with supervisor regarding software configurations
- Assist in maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting infrastructure hardware such as switches, hubs, WAP’s and cabling
- Assist in the research, configuration and installation of all technology-related purchases for the agency
- Assist in creating, maintaining and implementing network upgrade and maintenance plans
- Track recurring problems and provide input to supervisor and staff regarding inconsistencies and preventative maintenance.
- Research problems and solutions from the appropriate resources, such as online support, documentation, contracted I.T. service providers, and supervisor as needed.
- Provide support and maintenance to off-site locations.
- Attend and participates in staff meetings, trainings and supervisions.
- Adhere to ethical standards of the field.
Other Job Functions:
- Manage vendors when required for support and ordering.
- Completes all other special projects as requested.
- Some system monitoring may be required.
- Research new solutions as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience with a focus on Microsoft AD domain networks and hardware/pc support.
- Demonstrated experience in workstation and printer maintenance and hardware installations and break/fix.
- Experience with system imaging and helpdesk ticketing software.
- Experience with Windows 7 and later, Microsoft Office 2010 and later.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012 Standard, Active Directory, SQL Server 2008 and later, Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft Exchange 2010 and later desirable but not required.
- All candidates must have or qualify to obtain a current Colorado driver’s license (Must obtain within 30 days of employment)
- All positions require a criminal CBI background check, FBI fingerprint check, State of Colorado child abuse check, DMV driving record, pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical, academic credential verification, and reference check
