What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Connection?
Connection has an exciting opportunity for a contract Field Technician. Right now, the contract is through the end of July, and has a strong possibility to be extended until the end of the year. This person should be local to the Chicago/Schaumburg, IL area and have a vehicle to occasionally drive to a client office a few times a month. Excellent opportunity for growth and looking for someone to start ASAP!

Responsibilities:
- 3 years of desktop support experience.
- A Certification (or equivalent) highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows Operating systems
- Ability to follow process and procedures provided.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve email issues, specifically MS Outlook
- Support commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment
- Support back office hardware, printers, software, Web Applications and other networks.
- Customer oriented with good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and address their concerns
- Ability to exercises patience and professionalism assisting users.
- Outstanding customer skills, with the ability to empathize and professionally troubleshoot and resolve customer’s issues.
- Good phone skills with ability to provide technical support over the phone in a professional manner
- Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- Friendly presence and helpful attitude
