Originally founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions brings 30 years of experience serving individuals in crisis and operates two of the nation’s largest and most studied crisis response centers in Phoenix and Tucson Arizona. Since opening our doors we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
This position is responsible for the oversight and overall development of all clinical operations at the Crisis Center facility. This position is responsible to develop, plan and implement strategies for program sustainability and growth. This position provides both clinical and personnel supervision of clinical staff. Sets the tone, in partnership with their leadership team, for the facility by actively engaging in staff, program and leadership development. This position is the direct contact to the customer(s) and ensures that CHS contract requirements are met.
- Leads the facility Leadership Team in the planning, development, and implementation of clinical operations that deliver care that is timely, safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and recovery-oriented, in alignment with the Institute of Medicine’s aims for quality healthcare.
- Partners with Medical Leadership to ensure high quality and consistent clinical service delivery across all disciplines. Thinks creatively toward development of clinical programming and establishment of program goals, as well as identifying clinical opportunities to improve revenue through billing processes.
- Manages fiscal operation of facility using the budget as a guideline for revenue and expense analysis to determine potential variances and make changes where necessary.
- Manages leader performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback and addressing performance concerns promptly.
- Oversees Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities. Ensures that internal performance goals are set and reviewed and that these goals support the overall corporate mission and values while also being responsive to local community needs. Responds to RBHA and other external deliverables with timely and accurate data.
- Works in close collaboration with compliance staff to ensure that clinical services, documentation, training, and supervision meet regulatory requirements.
- Represents the facility in the local community via collaboration with DBHDS/DMAS, MCOs, law enforcement, and other community stakeholders.
- Actively participates in program compliance monitoring and works with appropriate departments to ensure both quality and clinical compliance standards are met
- Provides clinical supervision for staff towards independent licensure, as needed and contributes their clinical and professional development.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Unrestricted active license as Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) in Virginia
- 7 years of clinical and/or behavioral health operations, or relevant experience
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience
- Direct P&L responsibility management experience or responsibility
- Experience leading large clinics with multiple service lines, and large clinical teams in an emergency room/high acuity 24-hour facility environment
- Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
It would be great if you had:
- 10 years of clinical, crisis operations, or relevant experience
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience including P&L responsibility
- Experience in emergency behavioral health including policies, procedures, and regulatory expectation
- Knowledge of and experience with VA DBHDS and DMAS regulations
