Description

The Senior Data and Reporting Analyst works closely with members of the Executive Team to turn raw data into knowledge and insights for tracking business performance and making better business decisions. The analyst will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and will be responsible for developing and automating alerts, reports, dashboards, and custom analytics. The analyst will work with the Data Warehouse team to help develop, implement and maintain the corporate data catalog, as well as educate key members of the organization on best practices in analyzing the data.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Communicate effectively with Executives to review and refine requirements.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure that the source of data is clearly defined.
• Analyze, design, and build solutions using SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI or similar tools
• Develop the key performance metric (KPI) strategy of the credit union.
• Identify data quality issues and work with appropriate teams to resolve them.
• Work with the data warehouse tools to create relational and dimensional models.
• Support ad hoc reporting.

Education:

• Preferred (but not required): Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or related field.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Five or more years of data analysis/business intelligence experience.
• Requires strong and advanced knowledge of SQL (T-SQL).
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or Python.
• Experience in designing and delivering cross-functional custom reporting solutions.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as SSRS, or PowerBI.
• Experience in relational database concepts.
• Experience in financial services preferred.
