In-house counsel is seeking an experienced and passionate paralegal to play a pivotal role in keeping the office functioning efficiently by executing tasks such as case management support, contract reviews, certificate of insurance compliance, coordinating meetings, and maintaining complete and accurate files. This person will work collaboratively with our attorneys, paralegals, and various departments throughout the company. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, discovery, letters
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining lawyers’ calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling complex documentation
- Create and maintain case files via google drive and case folders
- Communicate with various departments, attorneys, paralegals, and clients in person, over the phone, and via email
- Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails
- Perform legal and background research when requested
- Track deadlines to ensure legal documents and certificates of insurance are filed in a timely manner
- Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients, attorneys and court officials
- Legal billing experience
- Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational and client information
- Strong multi-tasking and computer skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal
- Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal certification
- Knowledge of online court filing systems
- Experience working with multiple lawyers simultaneously
- High paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Critical thinker
Salary : $55,000 - $80,000
