TTT certification required

Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direct supervision
- Exceptional capacity to deal successfully with a variety of individuals
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff
- Approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
Primary Function:
- The primary function of the job position is to plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the Nursing Assistant Training Program implemented by this facility in accordance with current federal and state guidelines.
- Development, implementation and evaluation of the nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule class dates and assign instructors
- Interview and accept students
- Communicates with Director of Nursing to facilitate enrollment
- Orders instructional materials, including textbooks
- Interviews, hires, supervises, and evaluates faculty
- Assists with orientation of new faculty
- Assists with resolving student and/or faculty issues
- Attends meetings and seminars as required
- Facilitates approval process by PDE
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Conducts periodic, comprehensive, program evaluation
- Participates in the compliance review process conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
- Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the educational curriculum for the Nursing Assistant Training Program to meet the Federal regulations of OBRA and the State law of Act 14
- Participate in the selection and/or dismissal of instructors and administrative support personnel
- Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the Nursing Assistant Training Program
- Direct the preparation, scheduling and selection of instructional material, equipment, and training aids to ensure that a modern, meaningful training program is provided to meet the Federal regulations of OBRA and the State law of Act 14
- Remain current on new developments by attending professional institutions, reading professional journals, and attending professional seminars
- Maintain confidentiality of all student records and resident care information
- Maintain appropriate recordkeeping documents as outlined in the course specifications as well as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
