Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Accountant II to join our accounting team. The Accountant II will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling various general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting with the monthly, quarterly and annual close process. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, including prepaid expenses, Goods Received / Invoice Received (GR/IR) accounts, and various accruals.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly, quarterly and year-end close reporting process.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other reports for management and external stakeholders, including US Census Bureau.
- Collaborate with colleagues at subsidiary companies to prepare timely and accurate month-end reporting.
- Assist with audits and other special projects as needed.

Qualifications
BASIC:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience in accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening
- Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity but could be open to a sign on bonus, if needed
PREFERRED:
- 5 years of experience in accounting
- CPA certification
- Experience with SAP
