Job Description

THE COMPANY

Hoosier Racing Tire is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world. Hoosier has grown to produce over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully integrated production facilities recently adding a high-tech mixing plant, with enough capacity to produce not only for Hoosier Racing Tire, but to have the ability to produce rubber for additional entities as well as a model sales and distribution network. Our Hoosier location in Lakeville, IN is seeking a Market Demand Manager to join our team.

THE POSITION

As a Demand Planning Manager at Hoosier Racing Tire, you will play a pivotal role in our Supply Chain organization, dedicated to optimizing our supply chain operations and fostering growth within global markets for our motorsports products. With a strong focus on demand planning and coordination with internal stakeholders, you will contribute to our success by ensuring the effective alignment of our motorsports products with market demand worldwide. Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and shape demand forecasts for product lines within the Racing Tire division by analyzing the given system data as well as aligning with the responsible Sales/Business Unit Managers and key personnel to gather market insights, sales data, and feedback to provide consensus forecasts that reflect market needs and sales objectives.
  • Active participation and contribution in monthly production and sales forecast meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Analysis of forecast KPIs and definition of improvement actions to enhance the forecast target accuracy and demand planning effectiveness.
  • Manage demand forecasting data.
  • Support Sales in new product rollouts.
  • Monitor the racing season schedules. Stay informed about racing industry trends.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in business administration, Logistics/SCM or comparable education
  • 5 years’ experience in SCM related business experience (sales forecasting, product knowledge, data analytics, supply chain) or 10 years of respective working experience if no relevant bachelor degree
  • Ability to understand and develop complex processes. Analytic skills, ability to turn insights into specific measures and to execute them.
  • Proficiency in Excel (including Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • High level of analytical skills; evaluating numbers and quickly coming to logical conclusions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-past environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conduct monthly meetings.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Continental is able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 years’ experience in SCM related environment (market, plant, central) and Master Degree
  • Knowledge with SAP systems
