Account Manager
Job Function:
Regularly travels site to site to monitor production and quality of work performed by all crews. Assists operations staff in planning, executing, and inspecting work performed. Ensures that all sites are maintained to Continuum standards and meets regularly with clients to ensure performance satisfaction. Supervises and coordinates the activities of the exterior staff while on site to maximize job performance. Provide clients with additional offerings per customer request or suggested improvements per site reviews.
Essential Functions:
- Continually meet with clients to ensure satisfaction and provide estimates for suggested improvements.
- Perform weekly inspections of all assigned sites and document via site inspection sheets.
- Assist with the supervision of multiple crews, disciplinary action, work allocation, problem resolution and technical support.
- Assist with planning and organization of lawn care and landscape site assignments
- Assist with implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for production and completion of site work within deadline constraints.
- Assist operations supervisors to reduce and/or limit operating expenses while increasing production and profitability.
- Closely monitor site work to maximize efficiency while motivating staff.
- Weekly customer contact and communication.
- Manage and execute projects, including but not limited to; lawn care, shrub and tree pruning, mulching, weeding, landscape construction, irrigation repairs and install, snow and ice management operations etc.
- Adherence to contract specifications related to each individual job.
- Provide assistance and technical support to ground labor.
- Take charge in emergency and extraordinary situations and ensure appropriate personal response and proper operations of emergency and life safety equipment.
- Accurately assess and price additional client requests or suggested improvements to clients.

Additional Responsibilities:
Assist the operations staff in planning, executing, and inspecting snow and ice management operations. Primary duties during snow removal operations will be to stay in contact with clients informing them of potential winter weather, and our plan for executing snow removal operations. Additional primary duties include site inspections after snow events, and as needed snow removal duties.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the green industry related to large commercial / corporate facilities ground operations and maintenance, with progressive supervisory experience. Including knowledge and understanding of horticultural services and landscape architecture.
- Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and related software.
- Experience, formal training, and certifications such as certified nurseryman’s licenses for green industry, a must.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems or Software systems is desired. 360 Facility is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Ability to investigate and analyze information and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and analyze drawings, specifications, blueprints and technical information.
- Must possess current Michigan driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record.
