Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems & software, valves, measurement solutions, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Control Systems Engineer-PLC, to be based out of our headquarters in Allendale, NJ.

Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Life Sciences, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, HVAC, Power, Chemical, and Downstream Hydrocarbons.

Responsibilities

Our Engineers possess the ability to work in a team environment and may assist with many aspects of control system project implementation. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • This position will be primarily responsible for PLC programming and design, troubleshooting, with commissioning & documentation, within the manufacturing operations/industry.

Required

  • BS degree in an Engineering Discipline required
  • 2 years’ experience with complex PLC applications/systems, including PLC controls, and PLC startup experiences.
  • Must have strong programming knowledge of PLCs, experience in multiple types (Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience working within applications deployed in a GMP environment required
  • Troubleshooting of process and/or process equipment controlled by PLC’s
  • Excellent Communications skills, this is a client facing role
  • Ability to travel to customer sites.

This is a direct placement position; third party contracts are not available.

This is not a remote opportunity, if not local to Allendale, NJ, relocation to NYC tristate area will be required
