BASIC FUNCTION:
The Pricing Analyst is committed to manage and deliver actionable insights that drive sales and customer loyalty by proactively and efficiently analyzing customer intelligence. They contribute to Johnstone Grimme Group’s competitive advantage in the marketplace by evaluating existing pricing strategies as well as developing, communicating, and executing new strategies across sales and marketing departments. Measuring key areas of effectiveness and providing analysis and recommendations for improvement to leaders; and providing direct leadership and oversight of the prospect research and reporting/analysis teams is imperative. Position Responsibilities:
Proactively maintain pricing matrices, sell sheets, cost, etc.
Executes internal processes required for vendor rebate programs.
Stays informed of vendor pricing updates and communicates with purchasing team in advance of cost increases to strategically secure advantageous inventory positions.
Maintains product database through a suite of tools to ensure, superseded items, cost changes and pricing strategies are current.
Ability to learn and utilize various information sources including Eclipse, Eclipse Reports, EDA, JEN, EpaCUBE, etc.
Provides customer service to Branches, Sales Team and internal stakeholders by supplying information on products, pricing, or directing them to other resources.
Project management skills: establishing objectives, timelines and deadlines; action planning to meet deadlines, evaluating current and future positions.
Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and College Degree with coursework that complements position requirements
Problem solving, data understanding, and data visualization
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Research techniques that are quantitative and qualitative
Analytical mindset with strong math skills.
Ability to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets at an "Intermediate" or higher skill level.
Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism
