What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Processor - MUST BE IN SPRINGFIELD AREA, ON-Site Role position at Convergent Outsourcing, Inc.?
Responsible for inputting and processing all payments received from consumers and/or new business, reconciling balance discrepancies, and maintaining pertinent back-up information.
Responsibilities
- Process all payments received, in priority order, on a daily basis at the direction of management.
- Input all payments as well as new business efficiently and accurately into record keeping system. When requested, research payments as necessary.
- Maintain and organize all pertinent back up information to substantiate payment postings as necessary.
- Responsible for reconciling any discrepancies found in balancing at a batch level or at the end of business.
- Mandatory attendance to support month end close as communicated by management.
- When requested, provide administrative support for department(s) including but not limited to performing data entry, updating various record keeping systems, upholding company policies and Client requirements, and participating in projects, duties, and other administrative tasks.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with TSI policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent in relevant work experience.
- 1 year data entry experience preferred.
- 1 year of experience in corporate environment preferred. 2 years of experience in corporate environment a plus.
- Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to perform data entry and proficiently operate a 10-key calculator.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to uphold highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and respond to rapidly changing priorities in a multi-tasked environment.
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to work as scheduled.
