What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coder position at Conviva?
Conviva Care Solutions is seeking a hard-working and dedicated Certified Professional Coder who is interested in being part of a team that focuses on excellent service to others. The Certified Professional Coder extracts clinical information from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate procedural terminology and medical codes (e.g., ICD-10-CM, CPT) to patient records. The Certified Professional Coder confirms appropriate diagnosis related group (DRG) assignments. Analyzes, enters and manipulates database. Responds to or clarifies internal requests for medical information. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors.

This position works a Hybrid Work Schedule:
Required Qualifications:
- CCA, CCS, CPC, or CPC-A credential from AAPC or AHIMA
- Knowledge of billing practices and clinic procedures
- Knowledge of coding and clinic operating policies
- Knowledge of coding guidelines
- Must be able to assist providers and to attend meetings on as needed basis.
- Proficient in CPT-4, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
