What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Lead position at Cooks of Crocus Hill?
At Cooks | Bellecour, we believe that Life Happens in the Kitchen. Our Bakery, retail stores and cooking schools are filled with tools, gadgets, advice, pastries and coffee that help our customers experience and live the same philosophy in their own homes. We’re looking for an experienced Baker join our team in the North Loop, Minneapolis location.
Bakery Production:
- supervise food preparation, final products, and packing
- maintain quality and consistency
- ability to complete morning bake
- ability to laminate and shape pastries
- produce pastry products in conjunction with sale demands
Kitchen/Pastry Lead:
- maintain daily and weekly prep/task lists and inventory
- communicate pre-shift notes to team
- maintain daily DOH logs reinforcing food safety practices among employees (food temps, daily checklist)
- communicate equipment repair to Kitchen Manager
- place and check in orders
- maintain clean and organized workspace, support FOH team to keep items stocked
- assist in menu planning, costing, and recipe testing
- assist in training of new employees
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience
- Possession of high levels of culinary curiosity and/or experience.
