Cooley is seeking a part-time Information Governance Non-Employee Service Provider (NESP) to join the IS/Information Governance ("IG") team.
Position Summary:
Cooley Information Governance (IG) embraces a culture of customer service excellence and all members of the department are expected to move this agenda forward. The Information Governance NESP is responsible for and will coordinate processes governing the life cycle, security, auditing, and disposition of physical and electronic information maintained by the firm as dictated by the firm's Risk Management, Information Governance, and Information Security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
Scanning and pulling files from shelves and putting into boxes
Preparing documents for scanning, including pulling paper clips, staples, binder clips etc.
Print barcode sheets from Govern to apply to documents
Feed documents into the scanner and do quality control to assure that images are identical to the physical documents. Once approved, will load images in document management system (iManage)
Prep records that are past retention or have been scanned for destruction (with the exception of signed originals and records under litigation hold).
Reassemble signed original documents and records under litigation hold and place back on the shelf.
Skills & Experience
Required:
After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
Experience and demonstrated proficiency with one or more Record Management Systems (e.g., HP/Autonomy IRM, ARM or FileSurf, LegalKey, etc.) and/or Document Management Systems (e.g., iManage, Docs Open, etc.) used for the management of physical and/or electronic information
Ability to conduct audits and search through log information
