The Human Resource Manager will support their area of responsibility in recruiting, training, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and other HR related areas as needed. This position will focus on supporting programs/strategies that impact the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resource Manager will support their area of responsibility in recruiting, training, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and other HR related areas as needed. This position will focus on supporting programs/strategies that impact the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Establish credibility with the shop management team and all shop employees to be an effective listener and problem solver
- Understand and apply all HR policies and company guidelines consistently
- Complete training and onboarding for new employees
- Assist with recruiting for current open positions, including managing job postings, scheduling and conducting interviews, making job offers and completing pre-employment screenings, etc.
- Plan and implement employee engagement activities for area of responsibility
- Manage leave of absence cases
- Utilize HRIS system to create reports, review timecards, and maintain employee profiles
- Communicate and provide guidance to management and employees as needed
- Assist with toolbox talks and other employee communications
- Be involved in local community groups to build relationships, enhance knowledge and visibility within the community
- React productively to change
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
0-2 years of relevant human resource experience; and/or equivalent education and experience in job related activities

Strong interpersonal skills; detail oriented; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; self-motivated and capable of working independently within a team; good judgment; critical thinking; problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to work effectively with others; ability to adapt in a fast paced environment; good prioritization skills; ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing demands of handling multiple job duties and frequent interruptions
