What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Copeland Furniture?
We have a great opportunity for someone to join the Maintenance team! As both Copeland Furniture manufacturing processes and facility footprint grow, we need to increase the number of people that help the operation stay running and improving.
This is a critical role because together as a team you ensure that our buildings, grounds, machinery, and systems are ready to support building great furniture.
Guaranteed that each day will be different! Recognizing that the skillset is broad – carpentry, mechanical, and electrical/electronic – significant training on the job is provided and it is understood that the person’s skills will grow with experience.

Elements of the Job:
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Conduct maintenance of various systems
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
- Support the setup of various machines/systems and conduct repairs when necessary, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure the functionality
- Supporting other areas of the Factory as needed
Keys to Success:
- Very dependable with excellent attendance
- Able to work 45 to 50 hrs. per week as required
- Able to stay until time-critical jobs are completed
- Willing to work Saturdays as needed
- Sundays in emergency situations
- Willing to occasionally support production
- Some mechanical experience (nuts and bolts, tinkerer, basic understanding of how things go together)
- Customer service mindset and patient working with others
- Electrical experience is a plus – minimally a desire and ability to develop an electrical skillset
- Naturally curious, a troubleshooter
- Calm, able to think on your feet
- Willing to learn, confident to try, and knowing when to stop to ask a question
- Able to handle the unexpected
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to do moderate lifting, occasional heavy lifting

Pay: $680.00 - $960.00 per week
