What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operator - 2nd Shift (20040) position at CORE Consulting, LLC?
The Laser Operator will operate a Tanaka Fiber Laser and Bevel Laser.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Including the following, however, additional duties may apply as required)
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures
- Set up, program, adjust and operate CNC laser to cut parts to print specification
- Troubleshoot and work with Engineering on programming issues
- Perform laser operations that require tight tolerances
- Perform 1st piece and random dimensional inspections with the air of the shop order packet
- Work from drawings and use required measuring instruments and gauging devices to check progression or work and final product.
- Operate sander/grinder to deburr sharp edges
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep machines in good work order
Education and Experience
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations required. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane, forklift or stand-up may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
