What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP – Service Optimization position at Corebridge Financial?
Description: The transition of Corebridge Operations resources to Accenture has aggressive deadlines to ramp up BAU in Operations and will ultimately aid in the achievement of the company’s stated productivity goals. This will include maintenance and optimization of operations data management, workflow, and automation efforts of Operations processes internal to Corebridge as well as those that will overlap between Accenture and Corebridge.
The position will lead the IR ABSS (Annuity Business System Support) team that is critical to maintaining BAU operations support throughout the transition as well as working on transition and post transition projects. Support functions include Data & Reporting, Legacy Admin Support, Production Support, and Workflow Administration. This position will report to the Head of IR Ops.
Responsibilities: Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for the following activities as it relates to Service Optimization:
- Design & implementation of the Future State Operating Model for Corebridge Operations post Accenture transition
- Rapid review of operations processes and implementation of recommendations to increase process efficiency prioritized by time to deliver and impact to support the transition
- Estimation of various automation efforts working with both Corebridge Operations staff and Accenture to build business case and project plans
Required Qualifications: The incumbent will require a deep understanding of the following:
- Experience redesigning processes and procedures common to Insurance Operations to achieve increased productivity
- Experience with systems and vendors common to Insurance Operations
- Deep knowledge of operations processes and common business rules across New Business, Inforce, Call Center, and Claims for annuities and life insurance
- Deep understanding of workflow systems for insurance operations and experience optimizing workflows with the intent to build automated reporting and implement technology enhancements
- Experience implementing and extracting real value from technology: Ex: Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and straight through processing
- Excellent communication skills: Possess the ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts on the ground while simultaneously able to summarize and provide high level direction to executive management
For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $170,000-$215,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
