Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Pediatric diabetes and endocrinology is located at 35 Michigan St NE. We have the largest pediatric endocrinology program in Michigan and our advanced diagnostics can help identify the sources of your child’s health issues. We also offer a wide range of treatment programs to help our patients get back on track. Our team works closely with other pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care.
About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of Work
Provides quality education, counsel, and support to clients and their significant others regarding diabetes self-care. Documents the education process, patient information and clinical recommendations according to department/program/regulatory guidelines, and measures outcomes to maximize continuity of care between settings. Participates in projects related to area of specialty and the development/revision of procedures/policies, educational materials/guidelines, educational programs. Collaborates with and serves as a resource for other health professionals to promote delivery of quality services and patient education within the institution as well as the community.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 3 years of relevant experience recent, relevant clinical experience including prior teaching experience with adult clientele Required
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required Or
- Registered Dietitian (RD) CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration Required
- AHA CPR Required within 90 Days
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) - NCBDE National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators Required within first 3 years
