This department performs many specialized studies and complex imaging exams, including cardiac and interventional procedures. As a manager in Radiology leading the CT Department, you will also have the autonomy to lead & develop your team and have an impact through making it your own. This individual will oversee 50 team members at 3 locations and a total of 9 CT scanners. We are looking for an individual who has a background in leadership, who is highly motivated, positive, and upholds principles of servant leadership.
Job Summary
Plans, organizes, evaluates, controls and manages all functions of one or more of the Radiology Department modalities. Coordinates and implements Radiology programs, policies and procedures and assumes the responsibility for ensuring that all programs meet hospital accreditation standards and regulatory compliance. Manages the delivery of patient care, ensuring that patient care is provided according to established standards of care and practice.Accountable for enabling patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.Assumes accountability for managing the operational, financial, effectiveness and efficiency of the Radiology Department.Ability to lead employees on exceptional customer service skills.
Essential Functions
- Plans, prepares, implements, and monitors the Radiology Department's operational and capital budget to ensure sound fiscal management consistent with the goals of Spectrum Health. Oversees staffing and resource allocation to meet productivity targets and patient care needs. Develops programs and collaborative strategies to enhance growth and revenue for service areas. Directs all radiological services through the management and direction of both human and financial resources allocated to the Radiology department while maintaining and enhancing the revenue generating capabilities and technological advancements of these departments.
- Creates a climate of effective collaboration, communication, and cooperation among a variety of disciplines, departments, and roles. Effectively collaborates and strongly influences all levels of the organization. Anticipates customer needs and serves as a liaison to all customers: Radiologists, referring physicians, patients, hospital departments, and other health care facilities.
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Challenges are frequently unique, and solutions may serve as a precedent for future decisions. Ensures that all procedures are performed according to physician orders and are consistent with current policy and procedure and legal regulations.
- Develops and maintains quality monitoring system to continuously monitor and measure the quality, safety, and outcomes of Radiology services. Participates in and facilitates interdisciplinary performance initiatives. Participates in the development and review of policies, procedures and guidelines based on evidence-based practice, research findings, and Spectrum Health quality outcomes.
- Creates a climate of effective collaboration, communication, and cooperation among a variety of disciplines, departments, and roles. Collaborates with directors, peers, and staff to encourage and unify interdisciplinary teams, to provide the exceptional patient/customer experience.
- Participate in strategic planning and implementation of process improvement initiatives in Radiology modalities/departments. Assist in the development of short and long-term goals related to process improvement assuring projects are aligning with Radiology strategy and capital planning. Ensures process improvement activities align with the Radiology department's vision and goals, and Spectrum Health's core values, mission, and strategy.
- Collects, enters, reviews, and analyzes Radiology department data and works with modality leads/supervisors towards process improvement. Develops and runs reports as needed. Benchmarks external sources and integrates findings into operational and strategic planning.
Qualifications- Required:
- Required associate degree or equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience in management Required
- 3 years of relevant experience Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through 3 years of related experience Required
Qualifications- Preferred:
- 5 years of relevant experience diagnostic radiology Preferred
- CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown preferred
