SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: The IT Site Leader executes the plant strategy to achieve desired business results in alignment with the divisional IT strategy through appropriate allocation of IT resources and capabilities. The Site Leader ensures that the IT organization works in partnership with the plant to meet business objectives while supporting Corning’s Values.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support installation and integration of the plant SAP supply chain management system and MES (FWD) systems.
- Support FWD (Factory Ware Data) manufacturing execution system including configuration, maintenance, enhancement support and data analysis.
- Primary support for IMS infrastructure support including computers, printers, switches, servers and security systems.
- Interact with and educate plant customers in the development and implementation of required programs and processes
- Align IT business processes to global Corning business processes
- Responsible for local business/plant engagement for the IT organization
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, on scope, and on budget through project prioritization and effective resource management
- Establish and maintain the appropriate levels of operational support to meet established metrics. • Effectively support the IT shared service delivery model.
- Collaborate closely with the Division IT Manager to understand and implement programs that drive standardization across the division while ensuring plant business needs are met.
- Interact with customer base to function as the voice of the plant to the IT organization to ensure the type and level of services provided fully support achievement of plant business objectives.
- Establish and maintain a presence on the plant floor to maintain an ongoing understanding of the pulse of the organization.
- Design solutions driving continuous improvement to processes, systems, and workflow
- Establish and drive plant IT project portfolio and manage its alignment to organizational objectives.
- Participate on the plant staff to appropriately integrate the IT organization and IT systems into the day-to-day operations of the plant. Work with plant staff to make team-based decisions that support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the plant.
- SQL Database administrator for local databases.
- Develop various reporting in SQL and deploy SSRS reports.
- Maintain compliance for ITAR/NIST work at the facility.
- Administrator for various manufacturing applications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and/or Computer Engineering
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of IT/related experience
- 3 to 5 years demonstrated leadership abilities
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Manufacturing process to provide expert guidance and high-level support when necessary.
- Experience in one or more SAP Supply Chain systems like ECC, IBP, or S/4 HANA capabilities, in a manufacturing environment that support plan, source, make, and delivery.

Desired Skills:
- Understanding of ITAR/NIST regulations and familiarity with CMMC
- Experience with development in Microsoft BI tools (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server) and Business Objects. • Technical background in an Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Computer Engineering.
