What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler / Planner position at Corning?
Roles/Responsibilities
- Coordinate/facilitate weekly meetings with task owners to establish/evaluate/update tasks, durations, & constraints.
- Regular communication of driving predecessors that impact target dates (to task owners & project lead).
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule.
- Elevate concerns related to ownership of tasks, roadblocks to constraint resolution, or completion of tasks per the plan.
- Create/update master schedule
- Coach/mentor Leaders & Task Owners on the planning process & constraint resolution.
- Assist to refine tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project requirements as scheduled.
- Interact with project team and task managers to develop and update detailed schedules identification of variances from original plan.
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Project Scheduling experience
- Proficient in MS Project and various execution methodologies
- MS Office experience
- Attention to Detail
- Interpersonal skills
Preferred Requirements:
- 3 years MS Project On Line experience
- Schedule maintenance management
- Critical path analysis
- Driving predecessor analysis
- An experienced project manager will also be considered if projects were managed by an Integrated schedule.
