Job Summary
This position requires knowledge and skills in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification and resolution of grant administration issues, flaws, regulations, agency policy, precedent cases, and other requirements that affect the grant administration programs. Current work environment is primarily remote, as required Work takes place in an office setting; Financial Administrator work requires the ability to sit and work at a keyboard for extended periods of time and computer literacy proficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- administers and/or awards funds on behalf of agency or other grantors
- audits expenditures of grant funds to ensure that funds are spent according to stipulation, and deadlines are met
- maintains financial accountability and compliance of grant programs through comprehensive audits, financial records, review of expenditures, and documented program outcomes
- provides information concerning program and explains the application process
- provides technical assistance to recipients

entry qualificationsbachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance or related areas from an accredited college or university or four years of experience in grants management, public funds administration, accounting, or a closely related area. note: an equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Grants Management
- Demonstrated qualities of customer service grounded in the desire to help customers with knowledge, professionalism, and integrity
- Demonstrated Critical thinking proficiency to understanding task and creating solutions
- Demonstrated ability to share responsibilities, actively participate and collaborate with team members
- Finance or Accounting experience
