JOB SUMMARY
This is a temporary.
The Senior Manager of Digital Experiments leads and coordinates tests to improve customer engagement, bookings, and revenue across Marriott digital touch points. This role works with internal stakeholders to identify Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and applies Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tactics, including A/B and multivariate testing, merchandising, personalization, and research.
The Senior Manager effects change at operational, tactical, and strategic levels across the Marriott digital organization; core responsibility include:
1. Lead a team of Marriott associates and consultants to quantify and optimize digital experiences for digital business units (a group of agile product teams). Work to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and bookings with the goal of maximizing lifetime value of current and next generation travelers.
2. Develop thought leadership by uncovering and activating the global traveler’s needs by consolidating primary and secondary research gathered from internal and external communities.
3. Guide and accelerate digital product teams through continuous improvement process by cultivating domain and subject matter expertise, providing insight and recommendations, and transition experimental findings into direct change on Marriott.com and Bonvoy app.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, Business Administration, Hotel or Hospitality Management or related major
• 5 years of relevant work experience, 2 or more years working with site optimization and/or data analysis
• Working knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing and design of experiments
• Deep, hands-on experience using Adobe Target or other enterprise experimentation platforms (e.g., Maxymiser, Optmizely)
• Hands on experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or other data analysis tools
• Able to deliver engaging stories around data – e.g., mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
• Understanding of front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience developing HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Certification/advanced knowledge with Adobe Target
• Experience implementing experimentation strategies across digital channels
• Experience working in highly complex and fast-paced environments
• Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence) experience
• Demonstrated record of managing internal and external projects from inception to successful implementation
• Ability to align change management strategies with project
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• Extremely high level of analytical ability to resolve complex and difficult issues
• Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output in a team environment.
