What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Controller position at Corridor Media Group?
The Corridor Media Group, a rapidly growing family-owned media company with locations in North Liberty and Bettendorf, is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper/Controller to manage company books and financials. Estimated hours 15-20 per week with flexible schedule and remote working consideration. Competitive pay and benefits available.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Keep accurate records of company financial transactions
- Monitor and follow up with Accounts Receivables
- Prepare monthly statements and financial reports
- Answer questions regarding billing issues
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Assist with timely payment to vendors
- Accurate data entry into Quickbooks
- Enter checks and other payments into Quickbooks
- Receive and review all incoming invoices and assist to keep payables up to date
- Work with vendors to resolve payment problems and to ensure low level accounts receivables
- Meet company standards for timeliness and accuracy
- Assist with yearly budgeting
SKILLS SETS:
- Knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel and Google docs required. Ability to work with a diverse team and provide solid communications and customer service required.
- Reports to Chief Operating Officer.
- Knowledge of Accounting principles and Media industry preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
