SUMMARY
The purpose of the Temporary Recruiter position is to provide support to the Human Resources Leader and the Minneapolis facility through proactive and impactful recruiting efforts. This position provides professional administrative and HR support to the Client Roofing and Asphalt team.
PRINCIPLE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active participant in safety practices at the plant
Complete all required plant safety training
Report all unsafe work conditions
Notify member of Minneapolis Leadership Team in the case of any accident,
near miss, or on-the-job injury
Comply with all plant rules, safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
Identifies and implements efficient and productive recruiting methods that meet the needs of the organization
Post open positions both internally and externally, advertising the organization’s roles accurately
Utilizes the organization’s systems to coordinate candidate phone screens and select qualified candidates
Schedules onsite interviews, coordinates interview questions calibration materials
Calibrates with hiring mangers during the offer process; owns the pre-employment screen process
Demonstrate the commitment to build an exceptional workplace environment; fostering open communication, employee engagement, and personal development
Lead primary employee recruiting efforts
Greet guests and answer phones
Support leadership with plant-based events and meetings
Maintain confidentiality surrounding sensitive personnel information
Monitor and restrict access to the facility
Consistent presence and communication with all Minneapolis Roofing and Asphalt departments and facilities
Build strong interpersonal relationships with employees across the Minneapolis Roofing and Asphalt facility
All other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Leader or member of the Minneapolis Leadership Team
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong attention to detail
Effective interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, listening, coaching, delegation, and conflict management and resolution
Ability to make critical decisions and take decisive action in a timely manner
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Capacity to work independently and within a team-oriented environment
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
A strong candidate must be able to:
Utilize basic computer skills; ability to work in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Log into and navigate Client Learning portal to complete required online training routinely
Experience with payroll software, HRIS, and employee benefit programs strongly preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Completed High School Diploma or GED required
Experience in an HR administrative role and/or recruiting in a manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
A strong candidate should possess the ability to:
Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
Work for up to 8 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment
Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
Routinely ascend and descend stairs to enter operational areas
Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) steel toed shoes, ear plugs, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as necessary for task
Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in
accordance with all safety rules
Schedule flexibility as needed to accommodate operation needs.
