They should know and have experience in the SAP domains of Material Master, Production Planning/Scheduling, Production Order Transitions/Execution, Quality Management, Logistics Execution (receiving, stock movement, cycle counting, delivery creation – pick/pack ship). They will be hands on working in and executing transactions in SAP.
ACTIVITIES
- Work closely with Production Manager to ensure proper inventory levels to support order fulfillment and financial objectives.
- Participate on plant leadership team and drive plant performance
- Communicate forecasts to suppliers in adequation with Purchasing strategy, production planning and inventory management
- Place Purchasing orders (grade / quantity / delivery date / special instructions) - Maintain PO dates in SAP
- Check delivery and price for purchased materials. Update PO if necessary
- Coordinate transportation needs on inbound freight as necessary
- Work with Production Supervisor with inventory management (raw materials, packaging)
- Monitor and document supplier quality and service performance and participate to annual Supplier Assessment data collection
- Manage intercompany transactions
- Manufacturing quality activities (quality checks on the floor, review quality inspection sheets, manage quality lab instrumentation/calibration)
- SAP – generate process order, COGI error corrections
- Manage customer complaints
- Root cause & corrective action experience preferred
- Participate with internal non-conforming material disposition decision
- The job involves working in a manufacturing environment.
- Key drivers in the role are customer service, process improvement and cost reduction.
- Time on the floor should be 30%
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Meet service level expectations of the customer and manage the flow of inventory to support production and shipping needs.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years direct SAP experience
- Minimum of 3 years procurement or inventory control.
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
