As a successful Appliance Warranty Administrator and Technician Support , your primary duties are:
- Book warranty repair orders and submit claims of manufacturer warranty.
- Become the expert within our company of the technical aspects of our major appliances
- Manage and delegate repair to outsourced technicians.
- Provide technical support to outsourced technicians
- Coordinate repair appointment scheduling between consumers and repair centers
- Maintain payables schedules; service contract claims submission and follow-up.
- Audits technician’s billed invoices for repair work and dispute invalid charges
- Coordinates with vendors and manufacturers to ensure prompt receipt and shipment of replacement parts.
- Communicate with the front-line customer service team to define the scope of a warranty claim
- Review every warranty repair order written by customer support agents for proper completion, accuracy, and eligibility according to policies.
- Stays abreast of all product quality issues and takes swift action to develop service guidance for on-site technicians.
- Establish and build rapport with the designated service centers
- Ensure that all deductibles are properly documented so they are collected from the customer at the time of repair completion/delivery.
- Maintain a record of all claims submitted, returned/rejected, and paid and their current status
- Provide a weekly report to management regarding claims status
Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on major appliance repair experience (ranges, range hoods, refrigerators, dishwashers)
- 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
- Consumer Product Warranty administration experience preferred
- Computer savvy
- Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- General accounting knowledge preferred
- Technologically savvy
- Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Very detail-oriented
**STARTING Salary is Dependent Upon Experience**
